How better cashflow helped Frontline Solutions Group triple its fleet

Frontline Solutions Group has grown quickly since it started trading in May 2025.

The vehicle logistics business began with three trucks and a team of four. Less than a year later, it has nine trucks on the road, employs 12 people and is already planning to add another four vehicles. For Managing Director Adam Callagher, that growth depended on having reliable access to working capital.

FSG was already using invoice finance, but its previous provider was making cashflow harder to manage. Invoices were regularly held, funding was unpredictable and Adam was often left unsure when money would actually be available.

That uncertainty made it harder to plan ahead, invest in the business and take on more work.

So Adam moved FSG’s facility to Team Factors. Since then, he says the cashflow problems have gone. The business has been able to grow its fleet, expand the team and keep moving forward without funding getting in the way.

Challenge

Frontline Solutions Group was growing quickly, but problems with its previous invoice finance provider were making cashflow difficult to manage. Invoices were regularly being held, funding was becoming unpredictable and it was starting to create problems for the business.

Solution

Team Factors took over FSG’s invoice finance facility, giving the business more reliable access to the cash tied up in its invoices and a much more straightforward day-to-day relationship. Adam also gained a dedicated Relationship Manager in Kiera, giving him someone he could call whenever he needed help or guidance.

Outcome

Since moving to Team Factors, FSG’s cashflow issues have gone and the business has continued to grow. The fleet has increased from three trucks to nine, the team has grown from four people to 12, and another four vehicles are already planned.

About Frontline Solutions Group

FSG transports vehicles across the UK for dealerships, fleet operators, leasing companies and auction houses.

Adam launched the business in May 2025 after more than 10 years working in transport. He started with three trucks and a small team, but the plan was always to grow.

That happened quickly. As more work came in, FSG needed more vehicles, more staff and more cash moving through the business.

That is where invoice finance comes in. Instead of waiting for every customer invoice to be paid, FSG can access some of that money sooner and use it to support the day-to-day running of the business.

The problem was that the facility Adam already had wasn’t working as smoothly as it needed to.

Cashflow was becoming a headache

Before joining Team Factors, Adam was already using invoice finance.

In principle, it should have helped bridge the gap between completing work and getting paid.

In reality, Adam says invoices were regularly being placed on hold by his previous provider, with another query or issue needing to be sorted before funds could be released.

“Almost every invoice was being held in a holding account and they were so difficult to work with. There was always an issue, which hampered our cashflow to the point of causing problems.”

For a growing transport business, that quickly becomes more than an inconvenience.

Fuel still needs paying for. Drivers and staff still need their wages. Vehicles still need maintaining. And if the business wants to add another truck or take on more work, it needs to know the cash is there to support it.

Adam didn’t need anything complicated.

He needed the facility to work properly and the funding to be available when FSG needed it.

A better fit

Moving to Team Factors gave Adam a much more straightforward way of working.

Instead of constantly worrying about invoices being held or chasing answers, FSG had more reliable access to its funding.

That made it easier to plan, the fleet has grown from three trucks to nine, and the team has grown from four people to 12.

And Adam is already looking at adding another four vehicles.

“What started with three vehicles, we are now up to nine in 12 months with plans to add another four.”

The growth is coming from the work Adam and his team are doing, but having reliable cashflow has made it much easier to keep pace with that growth.

When a new opportunity comes in, Adam is in a better position to take it on rather than worrying about how long he will be waiting for cash tied up in customer invoices.

The relationship matters too

The funding itself is only part of the difference for Adam.

He also works closely with Kiera, his Relationship Manager at Team Factors, and says having someone easy to reach has made a big difference to the day-to-day experience.

“Kiera is a breath of fresh air. Nothing is ever too much trouble. She’s a pleasure to work with and always on the end of the phone for guidance or support.”

That direct relationship means Adam knows who to speak to if something needs sorting. He isn’t chasing around for answers or having to explain the business from scratch every time. Kiera knows the account, understands how FSG works and is there when he needs support.

For a business growing as quickly as FSG, that matters.

A very different experience

Adam has now seen invoice finance from two very different sides. The product itself hasn’t changed. FSG was using invoice finance before Team Factors and is still using it now.

What has changed is the experience around it.

Before, Adam felt the facility was creating more cashflow problems than it solved. Now, it is doing what he always wanted it to do – giving FSG quicker and more dependable access to the money tied up in its invoices.

That is why his advice to other business owners is pretty clear.

Would Adam recommend invoice finance?

Very much so. Adam’s view is that businesses shouldn’t be put off by some of the myths or negative stories around invoice finance. The provider matters.

“Do it. Ignore the myths about invoice finance, but make sure you use Team Factors. The experience has been totally more positive for me than it was with our other lender.”

For Adam, the biggest difference is simple. He knows the funding is there, he knows who to call if he needs help and he can get on with running the business.

Ready to grow without cashflow getting in the way?

If your business is doing the work but waiting weeks to get paid, invoice finance can help release some of the money tied up in unpaid invoices sooner. That can mean having more cash available for wages, suppliers, vehicles and the next opportunity.
