Invoice finance lets a business get paid on its invoices straight away, without waiting for customers to pay. A provider such as Team Factors advances up to 90% of each invoice’s value, collects payment from your customer, then pays you the balance, minus fees. Invoice factoring is the most common type.
Three steps take you from raising an invoice to cash in the bank. We advance money against invoices you’ve already raised, and it’s repaid when your customer pays.

The money goes straight into your account, so wages and suppliers get paid on time.
Your customer pays us, and we send you the remaining balance, minus our fees.
It works best for businesses that sell to other businesses or public bodies and give them time to pay.
It isn’t the right fit if you sell mainly to consumers or take payment upfront.
The cost depends on your sales, your customers and the services you choose. Every business is priced individually, and your quote sets out every charge before you sign anything.
A percentage of the invoices you send us. It covers running your facility, including credit control and collections.
Charged only on the money you’ve drawn, set as a rate above the Bank of England base rate.
Some facilities include a one-off set-up fee or a minimum monthly charge. If yours does, it’s in your quote.
An optional charge if you add protection against a customer not paying.

No. Invoice finance is an advance against invoices you’ve already raised, and it’s repaid when your customer pays. The amount available grows as you invoice more, and there are no fixed monthly repayments.
It’s worth it when getting paid sooner lets you earn more than the fees, for example by taking on new work, paying staff on time or buying stock. Your quote shows every charge, so you can weigh it up before you sign.
The main downsides are the cost, your customers knowing you use it, and a minimum term. It also only suits businesses that invoice other businesses or public bodies on credit terms.
It depends on your sales, your customers and the services you choose. Most facilities have a service fee on the invoices you send us and a discount charge on the money you’ve drawn. Some also have a set-up fee or minimum monthly charge. Your quote sets out every charge before you sign.
